Caltech music studios are a small project recording studio. We have
one rehearsal/ recording room and an isolated control room. All styles
of music are catered for, both in the studio and on location. Our engineers
are experienced in the recording of audio, from a three piece Folk Band
to a thirty piece Jazz Orchestra. We are based in Fife in Scotland.

16 Track Hard Disk Recording:
Recording is entrusted to the Yamaha AW4416
Hard Disk Recorder. Fully automated and packed with features, which make it a
versatile tool.

Computer based sequencing:
In order to increase the amount of
available tracks, an audio/ MIDI sequencer is used. Cubase VST Audio can easily
handle any MIDI data you wish to include in your performance.
The AW4416 and Cubase can be synchronized
using MTC, ensuring error free recording.

Need a little more control ?:
Working along side the AW4416 and
sequencer is a Soundcraft Folio SX, giving more control over input/ output
management, gain structure and allowing easier routing of fold back mixes.

Creating your master:
Mastering can be done either on
the AW4416 or onto Sound Forge on the Computer. A wide choice of formats are
available for your final product. Compact disk, Mini disk, MP3, DAT and audio
tape.
